Bold Text will display your text in a thicker font making the text stand out more than the normal text. Using bold text on your website is a great way to grab your visitors attention to a bit of text or a heading that you want to stand out and grab their attention. With out the bold text visitors might have missed the text you would like them to see. One way to grab attention in a sea of words is to use bold text, drawing attention to the word or phrase. Its very easy to add a piece of bold or strong text when you build a website.

You can add Bold Text in three different ways

Using CSS Code:

You can change your heading tags and paragraphs to bold by replacing normal in the code to bold.

Making heading tags bold (H1, H2, etc)

Below the heading H1 heading tag is normal

Below the heading H1 heading tag is bold

You can use the same code above to change the other heading tags to bold text, go to your CSS code and replace normal with bold on all the heading tags.

Changing a piece of text in paragraphs can be done in two ways:

Bold

<b>anything I place in here will be bold text</b>

Strong

<strong>any text here will also be strong or bold</strong>

Tell Google and Visitors your Important Words

You can tell Google and Visitors that words are important when you make a website by placing those words in bold. Like always you have to include other words in bold so as not to over optimise those keywords in bold.

When using bold make sure you place important words for the page with other words, try not to have the same keywords more than once in bold text for best results on the page.
